Mid century diamond and cultured pearl bar brooch in 14ct gold; this is a beautiful brooch that has a lot going for it, is versatile and makes a statement, set with a large creamy cultured pearl with a strong lustre in the centre and measuring 9.2mm, surrounded by Old European and 8-cut diamonds totalling 0.80ct (approximately) in a floral design. To the reverse it is fitted with a pin and hook closure. The brooch is well made and substantial, weighing 9.20gm and would look wonderful on a tailored suit, chunky sweater or to secure a shawl. Measurements: 6cm x 1.20cm (2 5/8″ x 1/2″). It dates from the 1950s which was a decade of elegance when brooches were the height of fashion. This lovely vintage brooch is in very good condition and tests as 14ct gold.
