Colombian Emerald Diamond Gold Necklace This is a beautiful vintage emerald and diamond necklace with a detachable drop, designed for day into evening wear. The central diamond motif is set with baguette and brilliant cut diamonds and is attached to a strong cable link chain. It has a detachable drop formed of a pear shaped emerald of a strong green shade, surrounded by brilliant cut diamonds. The emerald is certified as Colombian, estimated at 2.30ct with Moderate treatment. The diamonds are certified as natural. Total diamond weight assessed as 1.73ct. The chain is stamped 750 and tested as 18ct gold. Stamped with the maker’s mark CB. Length of chain: 42cm (16 1/2″) Length of drop: 22mm x 13mm Weight: 17.15gm. This magnificent and unique piece dates from the 1960s and is in very good condition. It would make a wonderful addition to a treasured jewellery collection. The necklace is accompanied by a Jewellery Report from the Birmingham Assay Office stating the emerald to be of Colombian origin.
