Antique French Amethyst Pearl Pendant A beautiful French amethyst and pearl pendant in 18ct gold. This is a superb example of the artistry of the French master craftsmen in the 19th century. It is formed of a 6.7ct mixed cut amethyst, sitting in the centre of large concentric circles set with small pearls. There 3 smaller concentric circles and 3 pale suspended amethyst drops. On either side there are gold fleur de lys motifs. Weight: 13.9gm including the 44cm (18″) chain which is a later addition in 18ct gold. The pendant is stamped with the French state control marks for 18ct gold (2 Eagles’ heads). Measurements: 5cm x 5cm (2 x 2″) This lovely pendant is in very good condition and dates from around 1880 – 1900.
