Antique Victorian Garnet Gold Brooch This exquisite mid-Victorian garnet and gold brooch showcases remarkable craftsmanship and intricate detail. Eight pinkish-purple garnets encircle a central garnet, which is itself set within a coronet featuring a delicate floral border over an ornate cross. Further floral designs and millegrain edging embellish the brooch’s outer edges. The reverse reveals a locket compartment, designed to hold a keepsake such as a lock of hair or a miniature portrait. It has a metal pin closure and a hook for a safety chain. Weight: 12.6 grams and tested as 15ct gold.
