How to Use Prepare the soil: Clear away stones, leaves, and surface debris. For accurate pH readings, make sure the soil is slightly moist. Insert the meter: Push the probes straight into the soil to about 10–15 cm depth so they reach root level. Check the settings: If your meter has a switch, select Moisture or pH. If not, simply read the dial. Read the results Moisture:1–3 = Dry4–7 = Moist / Ideal8–10 = Wet pH:Scale 3–8 (acidic to alkaline). Use this to decide if your soil suits the plant or needs adjusting.
